One of the most popular features on the Gent’s channel is the weekly subscriber battle. Here I explain how it works and what you need to do to claim your prize if you are fortunate enough that your game is the winning selection.
What are subscriber vs subscriber battles?
Every Wednesday I publish my sub vs sub battle videos. The idea here is that I give all my subscribers an opportunity to pick the games for the video. The best pick each week will win a £25 prize simply for doing so. These are free to enter and are supported by the advertising on the channel.
How do subscriber vs subscriber battles work?
To pick the subscriber selections from the list of comments I use a random Youtube comment picker website. This randomly selects one of the comments below the video, a process which I show on screen as I record the video.
Once I have picked a subscriber out the hat, I then play their choice for up to 100x stake. If the bonus does not land by this point their turn is over and a new entrant selected. When the bonus does land within 100x, I will play it out immediately and record the total x win awarded. I will continue this process until I’ve landed 8 games and played each bonus out. The winner is simply the subscriber who chose the best bonus, determined by the total x win (in case different stake amounts have been used). In the unlikely event of a tie, the bonus landed for the least cost will be the winner.
How to enter a subscriber vs subscriber battle?
All you need to do is comment on the previous Wednesday video for your chance to take part. Choose at least 2 games so I have an alternative should the first one not be there. Typically I make these videos on the Friday or Saturday following the previous video, so ensure to comment asap to have a chance of being involved!
It is not necessary to subscribe to the channel to enter, but I of course appreciate it if you do as this further supports the channel!
How to claim a prize?
There are a few rules you must follow to be eligible to enter and claim a prize:
Entrants must be 18 years or over.
Entry implies acceptance of the Prize Draw Terms and Conditions which are final and binding in all respects.
Entrants engaging in abuse, harassment, threatening or illegal behaviour in the YouTube comments or elsewhere may be disqualified.
Prize
There is 1 prize to be won, this £25 cash paid by bank transfer. Please ensure you are able to supply sort code and account details for the payment.
How to Enter
By commenting on one of my Wednesday subscriber battle videos. The following weeks battle video will generally be made on the Friday or Saturday, so get your entries in as soon as possible to ensure you qualify for the draw.
Maximum one entry per person.
Winner Selection
The winner will be one of the entries selected during the video.
The Gent will play 100x stake on behalf of each selected entrant to attempt to land the bonus. Should the bonus not land within 100x, a new entry will be chosen.
Of the bonuses that the Gent does obtain, the one paying the highest X multiplier will be deemed the winner.
In the event of an exact tie, the bonus acquired most cheaply will be the winner. If this still does not separate the winners, the prize will be shared equally.
Claiming your prize
The winner declared at the end of the video must contact The Gent via the Contact form of this website to claim the prize. Verficiation (such as Youtube account ownership) may be required before the prize is paid.
