It’s time for Max gambles Monday! I haven’t done one of these videos for nearly a month, so decided it was time for another try. There are a few new games around that include the gamble, so look out for these today. I have also found some older games with it that I wasn’t aware of previously, so a bit of variety from the last attempt.
The most recent attempt at this was the first major dent to the balance, having been fairly successful on the first few. I lost over £200, in part this was down to a failure to land as many as cheaply as previously. But the main reason was the lack of wins to the top. Those that gave spins from losing gambles paid ok but nothing spectacular, and the net result was the big loss.
I knew when I set out to try it that this would be a risky strategy, and looking at the comments it divides opinion as well. I am up since I started this experiment, but to be honest I am still finding myself in favour of collecting more than gambling. I always think back to the Power of Thor bonuses I have had on 10 spins. A number of superb bonuses that I might have lost trying to gamble up the spins. Do these games simply pay what they want irrespective of the number of spins? Do different suppliers do it differently? On Power of Thor the jury is still out, but (for example) I am fairly certain that winning all the gambles on Vikings Unleashed results in a better bonus.
I don’t know the definitive answers, but will continue to keep trying to find out. I suspect it is likely to be that I will mostly collect on some games, and mostly gamble on others.
