After a couple of spectacular successes on Nolimit City games lately I have decided to try a bonus hunt playing only their games. I have done this once before, but without any real joy on that occasion. There were a couple of OK bonuses, but nothing special and a loss on that occasion. This is to be expected, because a big part of the appeal of these games is the very rare, super big wins. I have been fortunate enough to manage a couple of them myself lately, and they certainly were enjoyable.

I have managed to get 15 together for today’s video, for a very reasonable cost of £417. The are mostly on 60p base stakes, although a few of them have extra chance type boosts you can pay for to improve the bonus chance, so some are a little higher. The exception to this rule was The Border, which I ended up playing on 40p, but still without success. I have had one magnificent win on this game, but I do find it a tough land.

I am setting my expectations firmly at the lower end today. 15 bonuses is a good result, but it’s certainly not enough to guarantee any wins of note. You probably need to play 100’s of bonuses on these games to hit the spectacular wins, and this clearly takes time. The other issue we have in the UK is that these games are also setup for bonus buys, something unavailable to UK players due to the regulation here. I actually agree with this restriction, I have seen the costs that some streamers rack up doing bonus buys, and I am not convinced it’s quite in the spirit of what slot play is about. For me, the reward is naturally landing the bonuses.

The upshot though is that I am at a disavantage in terms of achieving the super bonuses, and have to hope that they come along in regulation. One thing to look out for when playing these games is for an additional scatter dropping in during the bonus. This can be (but certainly isn’t guaranteed) a sign of a decent win to follow. I have seen it on the Border a little while ago (resulting in a big win), but I have also had it on True Grit where it failed to pay.
