My last bonus hunt at Betfred left me with something of a pondering for what might have been. I was in a quite fabulous position going into the bonuses yet the overall result was a disappointment. I finished ahead, so I can’t be too downhearted about it, yet it did feel like something of an opportunity lost.
I showed an in play highlight at the start of the video, Madame Destiny Megaways had given a genuinely sensational spin of nearly £300. This paid for almost all of the other bonuses, which were collected in good order. I was confident of a profit, it really was only a case of how much?
Alas it was disappointment after disappointment. Of the 12 I had gathered, 9 (yes, NINE) paid less than £20. On another day, each of these could comfortably have been 100x or better. The only real success in the playing out of the bonuses was Extra Juicy Megaways, at £79. Even that was barely over 100x.
Still, I will always take a profit, no matter how it comes along. I have reinvested the funds today and have a much bigger challenge to break even today, let alone start thinking about a profit. Most of the damage today was done on the very first game, Raging Pop. A real shame as this new “Pop” game was one I was looking forward to playing. At one point I was over £150 involved (75p stake) before a reasonable couple of wins brought it back down to £60 or so. I tried for a little longer before concluding I should drop the stake before the entire balance vanishes. I did get it finally, but at a cost I do not expect to recover.
As for the rest, it was the usual mixed bag. I just about have enough to legitimately hope for break even, but I suspect it will be tough.
